Can't Wait for Spring Car Show Success for Gv Kiwanis
It was a fantastically beautiful day in Golden Valley on the Day of the Show. We had 56 Entries to peruse and lots of fun to be had at the games. Great Cars and Great people attracted many visitors to this our First Annual Can't Wait for Spring Car show. We had so much fun hosting this event it definitely wont be our last. We had plaques for Best in Show for , Best Custom, Best Truck, Best Motorcycle, Best Antique, Best Original, Under Construction and Longest Distance Traveled. BUNCO BONANZA A ROLLING SUCCESS
The Golden Valley Kiwanis hosted it's first Bunco Bonanza to raise money to support our children's summer programs. An excellent dinner was provided by Redneck's Southern Pit BBQ followed by a evening of Bunco fun. Bunco is an easy but fun dice game played in tables of 4. We enjoyed having players from Kingman, Golden Valley, Bullhead and as far away as Fort Mohave. We had a very good time hosting this event and are hoping to do another soon. Community Comes Together for Thanksgiving
Volunteers from the Golden Valley Kiwanis, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Community joined the Owner and Staff of the Java Plum Caf'e to provide hundreds of Thanksgiving Dinners to the Golden Valley Community.
The organizers of the celebration wish to Thank the Valley Businesses and Individuals who contributed funds to help the effort, the Outstanding Kitchen Staff who gave their talent and skill to prepare such an excellent meal, the volunteers and our guests for making this day one we will all remember.
This is the beginning in our efforts to bring our community's groups together to serve our community.
